A Benefit for Musical Ambassadors of Peace
Presented by Broomfield Crescent Grange in Collaboration with Persian Cultural Circle
Prepare to go on an inner adventure of beauty and radiance of Rumi’s wisdom where assumptions and concepts lose their hold. The enchanting sounds and the gripping poems beckon you to join this caravan through both the dark and mysterious valleys and the wondrous and dazzling peaks of the soul.
Pete Jacobs is the president of Musical Ambassadors of Peace and a member of the Zuruna Middle Eastern music ensemble. He loves the opportunity to make new personal and cultural connections through the gateway of music.
Meg York is a Lifetime Member of the Eastern European Folklife Center and a Presenting Member of Society for Ethnomusicology. She is a founding member of many eastern music ensembles, including the Farabi Ensemble, featuring Ahmad Soufiani, Shahrzad Khorsandi and David Taylor Zikr Dance. She is a collaborator with Musical Ambassadors of Peace.
Freyja Wild (Patricia Irby) is a classically trained vocal artist, composer, voice teacher, sound-healer and environmental activist, who is on a mission to heal the world with music.
