Pete Jacobs is the president of Musical Ambassadors of Peace and a member of the Zuruna Middle Eastern music ensemble. He loves the opportunity to make new personal and cultural connections through the gateway of music.
Meg York is a Lifetime Member of the Eastern European Folklife Center and a Presenting Member of Society for Ethnomusicology. She is a founding member of many eastern music ensembles, including the Farabi Ensemble, featuring Ahmad Soufiani, Shahrzad Khorsandi and David Taylor Zikr Dance. She is a collaborator with Musical Ambassadors of Peace.
Freyja Wild (Patricia Irby) is a classically trained vocal artist, composer, voice teacher, sound-healer and environmental activist, who is on a mission to heal the world with music. She is also the Secretary/Treasurer for Musical Ambassadors of Peace and is currently working on her first solo album which will be released in the near future.
Ari Honarvar brings forth the spirit of Rumi’s poems in the form of “deklameh,” the Persian art of becoming the poem. She is the author and illustrator of Rumi’s Gift and her work has appeared on The Guardian, Teen Vogue, Elephant Journal and elsewhere.
